Rainy Day in P A

I've been saying that I'd take the girls to the Recreation Station on the next rainy/yucky day for months. Today, I was all out of excuses. We went. Now, don't get me wrong, the Recreation Station is a really cool place. It's just, to my mind, an expensive place to go and play, considering that we already have most of the stuff there at our house, and I have to mind my children and clean up after them, not the staff. My girls love it there. Especially the art room. We currently have a dozen pictures drying in the truck (remember that it's rainy outside....no sense in getting them more wet than they already are). We had paint everywhere: shirts, shorts, legs, toes, hair (!), shoes, EVERYWHERE. The purple paint was quite interesting. We were making hand prints, and all the other colors washed off cleanly and easily, but the purple left our hands stained pink. Dark pink. Hmmmm.... The girls had a bath, and I washed my hands a zillion times, and they're back to normal now. Thank goodness.

The girls took turns choosing which room to play in. The art room was first (of course!), then the train, then blocks, music (where they played the organ like pros!), and back to the art room, then I got to pick the Lego room while we waited for the final pictures to dry. We made this Lego picture: Concentric Squares.
J & B do love big long grown-up words. They both worked so hard and so well together to make this. I was fishing out the pieces, but they did all the hard work. The director was so excited; she said she was going to put their picture up on the Rec Station's website.
DH took the girls to his parents' house to watch the Pens game. I'm supposed to be finishing up some jerseys for tomorrow. I'll get to them soon, I promise. They'll be ready.
And one last thing, because I'm feeling lucky today......http://www.wowonline.com/
